India has released a $35 tablet computer that runs on the open-source Linux operating system and comes with an optional solar power upgrade.

This is obviously a good thing, bringing access to modern technology to those who previously didn't have it. However, ripples will clearly be felt throughout the technology market globally and, in the longer term, as developing world populations become more computer literate, I expect services here will have to come down too.
